1. What is Paintball?

Paintball is one of the world's most exciting participative sport. It is a sport in which men and women, young and old compete equally. Size and strength are not as important as intelligence and determination. Like a game of chess, being able to think quickly and decisively is what makes you a star. Paintball is also a character- building sport. Players learn the importance of teamwork and gain self-confidence while developing leadership abilities. But, above all, Paintball is fun!

Once the adrenaline starts pumping you can't help but love the thrill of the game! Paintball is a team sport and is similar to many other "ball" oriented sports, in that 2 or more teams striving to achieve a goal or objective. Paintball has rules, a scoring system, referees, leagues and international tournaments. It is a combination of tag, hide and seek, and human chess. The sport of Paintball is a non-contact, action-packed, physical and mental activity and is the most fun you will ever experience.

Paintball teaches co-operation, teamwork and friendly competition. Unlike other sports, violence has no place in the game of paintball. Paintball has a positive influence on the community, the family and the work place. Paintball is hailed as one of the most effective forms of stress release and is used extensively in the USA and Europe for corporate situations to boost teamwork, self-confidence and control stress. It is also a family-orientated sport, reinforcing the same virtues. Paintball also has a great deal to offer the youth in our community in terms of self-confidence, motivation and a sense of achievement.

6. How SAFE is the sport of Paintball?

Paintball is one of the most injury free records of any sport. Insurance statistics rank it as less of a risk than even golf, or bowling. Like any physical sport, it has its risks. However, if proper safety procedures are followed carefully and proper equipment is used then paintball can be very safe. The most important rule to follow is to use a mask designed specifically for paintball. Goggles, glasses, or any other eye protection not designed for the sport WILL NOT work. Your eye is the only part of the human body that a paintball can permanently damage. Never play paintball without wearing the proper protection for your face, and your eyes.

7. How to prepare for Paintball?

  • Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. Preferably, you should wear dark clothing with long sleeves. Don't worry about the paint splats as it will wash out easily in normal washing, but you'll be running, crawling, crouching and kneeling a lot. Better to be comfortable than stylish.

  • Wear good outdoor shoes that provide ankle support. Sprained ankles are the main cause of injury in many sports
and Paintball is no exception. Having good ankle support reduces the risk of injury.

  • Bring Sun Block as it can get very hot during a game and getting sun burnt is not a nice experience.

  • Bring Insect Repellent as the game is played outdoors on a grass field.

  • Bring enough money for extra paintballs.

  • Bring your Driver's License or IC for verification of Age.

  • A change of clothes is always nice, since you'll be getting dirty and sweaty by the end of the day.
